26 Weeks (as of May 24th)

My 26th week of pregnancy found my laying stones in our front yard to create this beautiful patio that Scout is modeling! This project has been in the works for ages and it is so exciting to actually see it finished. Jonathan did all of the actual work and I came in when he was done to play Tetris with the stones until they fit in the space and looked semi-presentable. We also went to Hilton Head over Memorial Day Weekend with my parents and Jonathan's parents. It was the first trip with all of us and it went really well. The girls spent time on the beach while the boys went kayaking and biking on Dafuski Island. I also might have hit up Janie & Jack (the most adorable baby store I've found) at the outlet mall and got a few more things. I simply can't resist white linen shorts with suspenders for a 1 year old! The next things on the agenda are patio furniture and a new front door! And eventually our house will be painted so I will be able to show you a before and after picture soon.

25 Weeks (as of May 17)

Scout helped me put Teddy's crib together! I am very happy with how the nursery is coming along. Feel free to come and see it in person!

24 Weeks (as of May 10th) AKA The week of Scout

I came home from a wonderful trip in Colorado to a  PUPPY! I know, you think we are crazy to have gotten a puppy when we are about to have a baby, and I couldn't agree more. I for one am "anti-love" as Andrew and Carrie Gilzean put it and could have lived my whole life without a pet. But, Jonathan has always had a dog and this timing makes sense with his likely deployment schedule. So, there you are. We now own a Chesapeake Bay Retriever puppy named Scout. She seems really smart, and she is definitely a cutie. Jonathan plans on training her to duck hunt with him.

23 Weeks (as of May 3rd)

22 Weeks (as of May 26th)

I spent my 22nd week of pregnancy in Denver, Colorado with my dear friend Lauren Angert. We went to the zoo for her daughter Lucy's 2nd birthday. That's us with our college roomie Erin Lynch.

Lauren is also due in August- but in the first week, so she is showing just a bit more than me. She is having a little girl they will call Alice. Teddy has so many little girl friends being born this spring and summer, he'll have his pick! I am already considering betrothals with a few families ;) I was sure I was going to have a girl because EVERYONE I knew was having a girl. Here are some of the names: Alice, Georgiana, Norah, Hepsibah, Annamae, Auden, Grace...I think that's all. I am so fortunate to be surrounded by women who are and will be amazing mothers.
